Casa Colom

The museum in Dalt Vila claims that Christopher Columbus came from Ibiza

For decades now, Ibizan journalist Nito Verdera has been upholding the theory that Christopher Columbus was born in Ibiza and that the Columbus family lived in this historic building in Dalt Vila in the Middle Ages. The two-story interior houses all the documentation supporting this theory in addition to numerous video and panel-mounted explanations. The museum also features maps with Ibiza-related place names that were used to christen locations in the New World.
