Eivissa Medieval postponed and the International Music Summit canceled

The Ibiza Town Council, as a result of the state of alert decreed by the Government due to the coronavirus, has announced the postponement of the celebration of Eivissa Medieval, which was going to take place between May 7 and 10. We will study the possibility of doing it at another time of the year, if possible.

Companies, artisans and associations that had submitted applications to participate are already being notified from the Party Department of the Eivissa Town Council.

The Councilor for parties, Montse García, has stated that “it is an exceptional situation and unfortunately this event, which celebrates the declaration of Ibiza as World Heritage, will have to be postponed for the first time in the twenty years it has been celebrated.”

Likewise, the organization of the electronic music meeting International Music Summit (IMS), which was to celebrate its XIII edition on the island between May 20 and 22, has announced the cancellation of the event, which is postponed to May 2021.

Tickets will be returned although there is the possibility of transferring the tickets to the 2021 edition.

These two measures add to the suspension of many other cultural, sports and leisure events planned for this spring.
