The Sant Jaume bulwark

Exhibition of the weapons that protected the walls of Eivissa

The main theme of the Sant Jaume Bastion, opened in spring 2008 and situated in Ronda Calvi, is military technology in modern history and how fortifications changed and gunpowder artillery evolved. In this bastion you can see weapons, armour and cannon bombs, among other objects, and they can be tried out by visitors.

From October to March: Tuesday to Friday from 10 am to 4.30 pm, Saturdays and Sundays from 10 am to 2 pm, Closed Mondays and holidays. April, May, June and September: From Tuesday to Friday from 10 am to 2 pm and from 5 pm to 8 pm, Saturdays and Sundays from 10 am to 2 pm, Closed Mondays and holidays. July and August: From Tuesday to Friday from 10 am to 2 pm and from 6 pm to 9 pm, Saturdays and Sundays from 10 am to 2 pm, Closed Mondays and holidays. From december to February: Still, visits could be organized for groups over 5 people with previous appointment by telephoning: 971 39 23 90 or mailing: madinayabisa@eivissa.es. The prize for the groups is 1,50 € per person and FREE for residents, pensioners and children under 12 years old. Normal prize: 2 €
